As a Public Authority and Government Organisation in the UK subject to the Freedom of Information Act we purchased Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional some years ago to allow us to redact sensitive text from documents before releasing them to the public.
I've now found out that if a user cuts the blacked out text to Microsoft Word the redacted text is visible.
This is a HUGE security flaw and it's crazy that a product sold with the intention of easing the redaction process is so easy to circumvent!!
How is this possible and what's the fix (and Adobe please don't say pay £400 to update you version)
