When I attempt to copy a signature and stamp it in, the stamp comes out wonky?

$

I am attempting to transfer a signature from one page to another, the process is a success, but when I do stamp my copied signature it comes out all wonky, the signature is stretched and I can't edit it to make it conform back to its original shape. The only option I have is to rotate and resizing it, but I can't alter the shape. Help?

Update: When I try to drag and select the signature vertically, it pastes it normally but I can't get the full signature. If I drag and select the signature horizontally, it comes out compressed and scrunched together.

Sign PDF in a folder without opening Acrobat

Hi,

Our customer needs to sign multiple PDF located in a folder. I see that it seems possible using Acrobat Pro in batch mode but I was wondering if it would be possible to achieve that task without directly opening Acrobat (calling it from the command line maybe ?).

The customer is producing hundreds of thousands of PDF per month and can't open each one individually. We would like to automate this task so no human intervention is needed.

I have tried several times to sign a document.

A few mornings ago, I started to sign into my HP laptop and a message: "HI" "We've made changes to your account, don't shut off your PC" Since then (after discovering this mysterious "someone" was Microsoft Edge, I have not been able to override Internet Explorer and Windows PDF. I need a fix for this. Nothing I found on Internet works for me. Please can someone help? I don't want to disconnect my service-but may be forced to if this continues.

I work on a Surface Book with a small screen.  When I try to sign a pdf doc the dialog box is huge and extends well past the bottom of my screen.  When I try to scroll down to the click the OK button after I enter my signature or initials I cannot scroll down far enough.  Also, the dialog box does not respond to dragging it up on my screen. End result is that I cannot sign or initial pdf docs.  Help!

FIPS 180-4 Standard for Digital Signature

I've been tasked with locating software that allows us to digital sign documents to submit to various agencies.  I've been unable to determine if Adobe's product meets the FIPS 180-4 standard that we need to comply with.  I did see in the standards information it meets the 186-4.  Can anyone provide any references on the 180-4 standard in regards to Adobe's software complying?  I apologize if this is a stupid question.  However, I am not very familiar with either standard and want to make sure I can provide a recommendation based information I can cite.  Thanks.

How do I grant file attachment rights to a certified PDF document?

I am using Acrobat Pro XI Version 11.0.18 running under Windows 10.

I have a PDF document with a button and a MouseUp action that creates a data object (via doc.createDataObject). The action works fine until I certify the document. With a certified document, I get the following error message:

NotAllowedError: Security settings prevent access to this property or method.

Doc.createDataObject:673:AcroForm:Button1:Annot1:MouseUp:Action1

According to the documentation for createDataObject (column 4: Availability for this function is ‘D’) the document “requires file attachment rights”. How do I grant file attachment rights to a PDF document that is certified? - john

How can I set up a secure PDF so pages can be extracted without losing their security?

We have some very large documents in secure PDF.  Right now we have full security but would like to allow for pages to be extracted without losing their security.  Is this possible? When I set up the security to allow Inserting, deleting, and rotating pages the extracted pages lose their security.  When they try to print to a PDF and only choose certain pages they get a log file with the security message that it can't be done instead of a PDF.

Thanks,

Dave

I used to be able to allow a document access without password but to restrict copying or changes in it. Now I cannot restrict changes unless I require a password. Is this a must? what can I do to restrict changes yet allow opening and printing?

Strange image file

Hi.

I ran a very strange issue when importing attached image file as a signature in Acrobat Pro and Acrobat Reader, versions DC and XI.

Go to "Fill & Sign" and try to import this image as a signature: Acrobat will decline arguing that this image is more than 10 Mb… Which is obviously not the case.

We were several guys to test this file on many config. and in several versions of Acrobat Pro/Reader: answer is always the same.

Changing this image format (JPEG, TIFF…) and changing its size don't change anything: Acrobat still decline it.

(This is not my signature, it's the signature of one of my clients' CEO.)

So we guess that there is a kind of shape recognition, or something like that, that prevent this image/signature to be imported ,but how can we be sure?

Please, experts and not experts, would you try to import this image as a signature in your Acrobat and let me know the result?

Thank you.

My client cant print the pdf's I email him.

He can open the pdf and it is even still visible on the print preview page but once he hits the print button a blank page is printed.

I was not aware of any security settings applied to these documents?

How can I undo this setting and allow the doc to be printed?

Unsupported file type for send for signature

I have made a fillable PDF form but, when I try to send for signature, it says it can't send because it is an "Unsupported File type".  It gives no guidance at all about what is supported and what is not.  i would have thought a PDF form made in Acrobat DC should be automatically supported.

I can't find any useful guidance on this on the web.

What goes on?

I have several certificates of CertiSign company and some of SERPRO SERPRO usually signs the PDF and CertiSign signs and then gives signature invalidates, since I contacted the cetisign and they claim normal operation since it works in the various sites that require digital certificate as oderei address this issue?

Mark as read-only without digital signature

Hello,

I know you can mark fields in a form as read-only with the digital signature properties.

Now i have a form where i must mark some fields as read-only, but i don't want to use the digital signature for that.

Is it possible to mark fields in a form as read-only without using the digital signature. Maybe a button?

Kind regards,

Jarno

I am very concerned about a pdf document that I am working and getting ready to publishing.

I know there are programs on the web that can remove the protection from pdf files.

Is there a way I can protected my pdf file in Acrobat so that these programs can not crack them and remove the protection?

I protected a PDF against printing and copying. But if I post the file on a website and people click on it in a browser they can print and copy parts of the file without a problem. Anyone a solution?

If I protect my file so it can not be printed and one can not copy parts of the file, it works fine in Acrobat but....

If I post that file on my website and people click on it, the browser opens the file in a viewer and the reader can print and copy without a problem.

Is there a solution for this?

Kind regards

Peter

Security and signature

I want to use both security options AND add a signature. I want to use a PW for opening the document, a password for changing the document, and add a signature. Is that even doable? If so, in what order and when do i save it - between each step or after all steps? No matter what I try, I can only get 2 out of 3.

Product in use is Adobe Acrobat 9.5.5 so I won't need answers for techniques in Adobe DC.

Certified or Signed PDF Encryption Issue

I am trying to encrypt a pdf file with a password but I can't because it has already been signed or certified? I haven't signed the document and I don't see any other signatures in it so how do I get around this because I can't send the document to the recipient without a password?
