Error during digital signature in the acrobat XI
Hello,
I work for a company named Construtivo.com do Brasil.
I'm trying to sign some documents in Acrobat Pro XI version 11.0.7 but I receive the error below every time that I try to validate the signatures
Error during signature verification.
Error encountered while validating:
Error encountered while BER decoding:
I have contacted the support team adobe.com and follow all the tips they gave me, but the error is still displayed
I 'm not expert in digital signature and acrobat, but I believe that I already have checked almost everything as follow:
The digital certification is valid
The driver of token certification installed is ok.
The certificate is in the trust certification list.
I made several tests in computers with Windows 7 (32 and 64)
Thank you in advance and forgive me for my bad english.

How to modify a PDF after signing
Our company has recently been upgrading from Adobe 8 to Adobe X (more specifically 10.1.10.) In Adobe 8 there is an ability to add/subtract pages after a signature has been signed, however this does not work in Adobe X with the default settings and I have not located a way to adjust this. Within the company there is a department in legal/accounting that handles the creation of PDF documents from basically start to finish. During their creation process there needs to be two signature: one for the creator of the document (this field is important enough that I cannot simply copy an ID/key so that anyone can sign anyone’s name however it is not important enough that it needs to lock a document or prevent any changes including adding/subtracting pages.) The creator will start a document sign and then pass it on where it will be modified, pages will be added/subtracted and words may be rearranged. Once it has been revised a couple to even a few time a second signature will lock the document. Is this still possible in Adobe Acrobat X Pro or Standard? Thank you in advance.
Signature error saying read only
I am receiving an error message when I try to add a digital signature to a document right after creating it.The message says that it is read only document and cannot be saved, however it is not open in any other screens. This used to work and I have tried removing from the computer and re-installing it, but no luck. I am able to open it before emailing and sign it before sending it out, but else I get the message??? I really need this feture back and am not sure what else to try.

Also, I cannot get it to remember my Digital ID after I close Acrobat... and YES, I click Always Use EVERY time.
No "Place Signature" Option in Acrobat XI Pro
I use Acrobat XI Pro. When I click the "Sign" Button I do not get the I Need to Sign, Fill & Sign, Place Signature Menu Options like I do using another computer in Acrobat Reader XI. Why? Or, alternatively how do I activate those convenient options in Pro? When I click on the "Sign" Button in Pro, I get "Sign With Certificate" Options...but nothing that would allow me to simply place graphic signature file like in Reader.
Was ist hier passiert !

Acrobat XI stops responding when applying document redactions
Very frustrated from trying multiple times to redact information from several documents.
I mark certain words for redaction. Then I apply redactions. The applying of the document redactions starts, but freezes/hangs within seconds of starting.
I can end the task using the task manager and when I reopen Acrobat, it gives me the option to open the previous document.
I have waited for Acrobat to apply the redactions as long as 3.5 hours with no luck.
Anyone else experience this? Anyone have any ideas as to how to get Acrobat to apply redactions rather than hang?
Thank you,
edsager

Can't save, file is in use
Hi all
I have a user trying to save PDF forms that is located in a file share server. The way she is signing it is by using the "Place Signature" option
The files are from the scan to email function from a Xerox. The forms are normally scan receipts that need approval
When the PDF is on her computer locally, the file is signed just fine. When she tries to sign the form and overwrite it while in the server, it will give her the error of "cannot save file, the file is in use" (something along those lines)
I made sure that the file is not open by anyone. The kicker is, sometimes the file would save with the signature and sometimes it would save it without (I know it is saving by looking up the 'last modified' line). Both times giving her the error
Any thoughts on why this error keeps happening?
She is use
Acrobat Pro XI (latest version)
Windows 7 64-bit
edit: I also made sure that she has admin rights in the folders where she is signing everything
Permission to add watermark
How do I give a Building Department permission to add a watermark after I'v added a digital signature
When clicking "Send for Signature" how do I get it to open in EchoSign first so I can place signature fields?
It seems Acrobat Pro XI recently updated and now when I chose to send for signature via echo sign, it just ships the doc off to the recipient willy-nilly with out asking what other fields I may want input, where I may want to sign myself (upon first getting a signature from the other party). I can of course open the Echo Sign page in my browser, then upload the document, then do all of this, but Acrobat was uploading to Echo Sign and allowing me to skip a few steps. Are there some preferences I can adjust to change the behavior back to the procedure that was in place previously?
Adobe's certificate used for security patch expired
I was advised to install a security patch for Acrobat XI Pro (11.0.07 --> 11.0.08). But when verifying Adobe's certificate of the downloaded file I realized that the signature has expired already. How can I trust in a security patch which hasn't got a valid signature? Did they hack Adobe's website?
Remove Open Documents password
I received a pay stub from my employer in my email, which I could open without a password. After the saving the file, I added a Open Document password. Now I want to remove the Open Password password. When I try to remove it, I am asked the Permissions password. I did not secure the file with a Permissions password. How can I remove my own Open Document password?
Thank you.
One Signature on 3 different pages
I have a form which contains the same data across three pages.
The difference is the instructions on each page depending on whom the form is disseminated to.
The form requires the official issuing the form to sign it.
How can I make it so the signature will show on all three pages but the Official only has to sign it one time?
I tried this
event.value=this.getField("Signature").value;
However it displays <dict>
is there a way to accomplish this?
I am using acrobat 9
Replicate digital signature on multiple pages in document
Using Adobe Acrobat Pro X.
I added a digital signature to by using Tools, Sign & Certify, Sign Document, drawing the box, insert digital signature.
Is there a quick way to repllicate the signature on multiple pages in the same document?
Can I use MS-DOS command line to encrypt PDF file with certificate?
Can I use MS-DOS command line to do encrypt PDF file with certificate from ADOBE PRO XI? I only the javascript embedded with button or toolbar menu, but these are not my expected automation.
Basically, I need to use command line to do PDF encryption so that I can automate and run by schedule.
Thanks.

Issues signing PDF documents with Hong Kong Post e-Cert
Hi,
Hope this is the right place to post...
I am trying to sign PDF documents with my newly issued Hong Kong Post e-Cert Digital Certificate.
This is in Acrobat Reader XI (11.0.07) on Windows.
I can sign the document OK - but when I review the "Signature pane" I see that the Signature is invalid:
Looking at the Signature properties I can see the following:
The chain of the Signature is:
- Hongkong Post Root CA 1
- Hongkong Post e-Cert CA 1 - 10
- WILSON Matthew James - my certificate
The Root and next level are trusted:
The error is "The selected certificate path has errors: Invalid policy constraint"
This certificate seems to have a policy:
Where as the Next Level and my certificate do not:
Is this the cause of the issue?
If so - is this something the issuing CA needs to sort out - i.e. Hong Kong Post or is a local configuration issue?
Many Thanks
Matthew
