I'm attempting to use Acrobat 11 Standard to digitally sign a PDF document with a 2048 bit certificate from our internal certificate authority, and I'm receiving the following error:

 

Error encountered while signing:

 

The Windows Cryptographic Service Provider reported an error:

The requested operation is not supported.

Error Code: 2148073513

 

The operating system is Windows 7 Enterprise x64.  When I remove Acrobat 11 Standard and install Acrobat 9 Standard on the same Windows 7 system, I am able to successfully sign the document using the same certificate that was giving the error with 11.  Also we have been using Acrobat 9 on Windows XP with these same certificates for a long time and never encountered issues with digitally signing.

 

Any ideas of what might be causing this issue?

Hello!

i need some help...

when i try to sign a documet  using Acrobar Reader DC (Windows10) i receive this message:

 

The Windows Cryptographic Service Provider reported an error:

Key does not exist.

Error Code: 2148073485

 

How can i fix it?

Acrobat Pro XI gives an error when trying to use the Get the Others to Sign feature.

The error is "There is a system error. Please try again later." I use my Adobe ID for both Acrobat and EchoSign to log in but Acrobat will not connect to EchoSign.  I would like to send documents from Acrobat without having to load them into EchoSign. I have never done this before either so it has not stopped working. Any thoughts?

Hello!

I'm trying to change and maintain the appearance of the digital signature in Acrobat X (10.1.16). But when I restart the PC, the look was created is erased and then again need to create a new signature appearance. With Adobe Reader DC, appearance is maintained to restart the PC. Has anyone had this problem with Acrobat X?

I've been using digital signature for some time. Recently,  when I try asks for password. I enter it in and it tells me invalid password. How do I reset?  Or failing that create a new one?

Does anyone know how to setup multiple signature profiles?  I need to be able to sign pdf documents on behalf of my supervisor as well as myself.  So far, I'm only able to load one custom signature.  Does anyone know how to setup a second one?

We can produce document with signature field using adobe pro DC and would like to use it in our document flow.

We need to sign documents with Adobe Reader DC or XI using many different smart cards and using by default sha256 and NOT sha1.

In Italy the sha1 is non admitted for legal signature.

Actually by default Acrobat reader DC or XI use sha1.

I have found a document that explain how to set up acrobat reader DC or XI to use an external csp in order to use sha256 but it requires a setup for every smart card has to sign using sha256.

It is unacceptable.

I would like to know if it possible setup Acrobad reader to use only sha256 by default regardless the smart card used.

I have read many paged and found many people having same problem but no solution yet.

 

We loud like to use Acrobat reader CD or XI to verify the signed documents but if the document is signed using sha1 there is the green check ad this is a problem for us because we can accept only sha256 signed documents.

There is a way to to that?

 

The scenario is:

For documents production SO windows2012, Acrobat pro DC

For document signing OS windows 7 or above, Acrobat reader DC or XI

Acrobat XI Pro used for creating the form.

Acrobat XI Standard used for end user to open the form.

 

I have a form with three signature fields.  After the first or even the second signature, I want all fields except the second or third signature to lock down to not be editable.  After the third person signs I need to be able to print the entire document with all the signatures.

Changing the Document and Markups or Annotations in the print dialog box doesn't help when I set the signature field to make everything read only.  If I don't set the signature to read only then the form is still editable but all the signatures will print regardless of what print dialog preferences are set to.

We are using digital signatures to sign off PDF files.
If we update the source document (in Word), but we need to maintain the previous signoffs (their digital signatures), how can we do this?

 

For example, in Document A, 2 people digitally signed the file.
2 months later, modifications are made to Document A, and it's saved as Document A-1. A-1 has a line for new signoffs.

 

How do we maintain the signatures from the original signoff? Is it possible?

Anyone else having an issue signing PDFs using a DoD CAC and Adobe Reader DC version (2015.16.20039) with ActivIdentity ActivClient (version 6.2.0.205 w/ FIXS1512026)?

 

The specific error message is:

 

Error encountereed while signing:

 

The Windows Cryptographic Service Provider reported an error:

The operation completed successfully.

Error Code 0

 

Reverting to Adobe Reader DC version (2015.010.20060) resolves the issue but obviously isn't a viable long-term solution.

Hi Adobe,

 

We are using adbe.pkcs7.detached adding signature to the PDF. whenever I open signed PDF form it will show signature is unknown with below error code as

 

Error during signature verification. 

 

Signature contains incorrect, unrecognized, corrupted or suspicious data.

Support Information: SigDict /Contents illegal data

 

Can anyone confirm me issue w.r.t to the signature verification.

Hi Guys,

 

We are planning to move our company documentation to digital version and store them in to Network folders sharable across within company gropus.

 

We have 100+ users who would perform this job.

 

User can able comment/annotate PDF document. However we don't them amend original text or embedded image?

 

Could it be possible in Full version of Adobe DC?? We are doing some testing using the trial version of Adobe DC software but couldn't find this option?

 

This would certainly effect our commercial decision prior to place order to Adobe!

I have created an employment application and inserted a digital signature field. However, when emailed to myself so that I can open it on my mobile device (where I presume most of my potential applicants will open the document), every other field on the document is available, EXCEPT the digital signature field. In fact, it simply looks as though there isn't a field there at all. Here is a screenshot from the mobile device view...As you can see the date field is able to be updated but the signature field is absent. What am I doing wrong?

Technical details:

I am using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended

The document was created using Microsoft Word 2016, then saved as a PDF

I utilized the Form Wizard to create the form fields

Once created, I manually renamed the form fields and adjusted their properties

The digital signature works within my program when in non-editing mode

The mobile devices used to view and edit the application were a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and an iPhone 6+

The app used on the android device was the free Adobe PDF viewer found in the Play Store

The app used on the apple device was the free Adobe PDF viewer found in the App Store

The form has multiple required and non-required fields

The digital signature field is a required field.

 

I think that is everything. If you need to know more, please just ask. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

Is there a way to specify a page range for redaction? For example, I have a document that is 4,000 pages, but only need to redact 1,000 pages. I still need to run the 'search and redact' feature but only within the 1,000 pages, not across the entire document. Thanks!

A coworker sent me this PDF with our client's information all filled out. The first half is fine, but the second half of the document does not display any information until you click on it. As soon as you click off of it the information disappears. If I type in the fields then the information will come back up and stay up. There are no layers and I cannot through this 50 page document and do this to every field to make it populate. Please advise. Thank you.
