Digital signature for whole PDF portfolio
We are solving question, how to sign with digital certificate whole PDF portfolio. This portfolio has included more documents, which have digital signed .
We want keep existing signatures on sub-documents, but when we merge this documents to one portfolio, we want to guarantee, that this portfolio is original and any documents wasn´t changed.
Is some feature in adobe acrobat pro (i tried 15.017.20050) or some feature, how to use digital sign (with cerificate) for whole portfolio ?

I am trying to complete an online application which requires a signature but although the sign icon along with the pen appears it does not allow me to sign it keeps opening my already existing documents and prompts me to select my signature from there. Can anyone help please?

I forgot my digital certificate password
I read on another post that there is no way to recover the password, and that I need to create a new certificate. But I can't see where I have the option to do that. Please let me know how to delete this certificate or otherwise get this resolved.
Also, I just installed Adobe Acrobat on a new computer. On my old computer I didn't have to enter a password to use my digital certificate. Is there a way to avoid this PW issue when I create the new certificate?

I just downloaded the trial of Acrobat Pro DC for Windows 7.
I am not seeing the answers in the How-to or the forums.
• How do I restrict copying and editing without a password?
• How do I restrict the number of copies to be printed?
• How & Where do I restrict the print quality?

I don't have an option for digital signatures
I just purchased Acrobat Pro XI to use for digital signatures. When I look at the tutorial it says go to preferences to st up digital signature. My edit drop down doesn't offer this option and on the menu my last option is Combine files into PDF's while the tutorial says Get document signed. Can anyone help? Called support and they couldn't help.

ThaI tried to ask a simple question about putting a policy in the toolbar to easily apply to documents on the fly, but I don't see where my question ended up.
I need to know how to put a security policy in the toolbar to easily add the security policy to a bunch of documents. I had the ability in Acrobat 8. Now that the IT Department has installed Acrobat 11 in my desktop, I can't seem to replicate the feature. Please help!

Symantec has recently discontinued their $20 per year Digital ID service that I used to encrypt PDFs for a small team. Is there a similarly priced Adobe-approved alternative?
I have been encrypting PDFs for a small group of users for nearly a decade using VeriSign/Symantec digital IDs.

Cannot remove Password Security DC Pro
I Password Protected my W-2's to send to my Tax Preparer. After sending I went to properties and changed to no security. When I go to save I get the message: The file may be read only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name... Then I go to File- Save As-... and save it as a new document. It saves with password security, then the circle starts all over again.

Adobe Acrobat DC \ Microsoft Word I get a Security Warning Certificate Expirer.
Hello Adobe,
I am using Adobe Acrobat DC and when I open Microsoft Word I get a Security Warning. I check the certificate expiration and I see : 10/19/2011 (See Picture Below)
How can I get this issue resolve since this is happening all the time. Why is this add-in not on the Trusted Publisher.
do you have a new Certificate availably for me to download?

I need to add my Digital Signature with a CAC as my defaul and it wont let me
When I follow this steps, I can't get the last one done as it specifys on the guide. It sends me to selec a file. Where do I choose the digital ID?

To avoid being prompted to select a digital ID each time your sign or certify a PDF, you can select a default digital ID.

Signing using sha256 by default using many different smart cards
We can produce document with signature field using adobe pro DC and would like to use it in our document flow.
We need to sign documents with Adobe Reader DC or XI using many different smart cards and using by default sha256 and NOT sha1.
In Italy the sha1 is non admitted for legal signature.
Actually by default Acrobat reader DC or XI use sha1.
I have found a document that explain how to set up acrobat reader DC or XI to use an external csp in order to use sha256 but it requires a setup for every smart card has to sign using sha256.
It is unacceptable.
I would like to know if it possible setup Acrobad reader to use only sha256 by default regardless the smart card used.
I have read many paged and found many people having same problem but no solution yet.
We loud like to use Acrobat reader CD or XI to verify the signed documents but if the document is signed using sha1 there is the green check ad this is a problem for us because we can accept only sha256 signed documents.
There is a way to to that?
The scenario is:
For documents production SO windows2012, Acrobat pro DC
For document signing OS windows 7 or above, Acrobat reader DC or XI

Print a pdf with a date
Hi,
I'm trying to create a PDF that will show the date the document was opened and allow printing only.
So I create a text field and through Javascript show the date. The problems is that when I use security to lock the document and enable printing only it also "locks" the date on the text button and it doesn't change. The same behaviour happens when I add a date field to the header.
This happens in Acrobat X and also in DC.

I would like to hear you about how reliable are PDF security passwords.
You can google dozens of methods to unlock files.
The simplest one is printing the file from google chrome built-in PDF reader and saving it as an unlocked file...
Can you indicate me a method to avoid that?

Document appearance
I just used a digital signature on a reputable website and it seems to have made changes in the appearance of my documents. Is there a setting to go back to the way my documents appeared when adobe was first installed? The reports I use for work have a different font now when they pull up and the copies I used for research have a more scanned in look to them.
