While Uploading a secured pdf, the copy and print protection dissapears when i view the pdf in the browser

We protect our Documents with copy and Print Protection.

Now we upload the documents on our Server to look at them on our Homepage.

Now if I open the PDF via Browser the Copy Protection is gone and i can copy what i want.

I think it is a matter of the Browser Plugin, which ignores the Protection.

Do you have a clue for me?

How do I set electronic signatures as my default setting in Adobe Acrobat XI Standard?

I was configured in tools where I could pick up my image signature by clicking "Place Signature" but one day it just defaulted to my digital signature and it won't allow me to Place Signature now (my signature graphic) unless I go through the process of changing saved signatures.

The selected certificate has errors: Invalid Policy constraint

Hi everyone,

We're having a problem with our signatures. We have a certificate issued by Entrust.net. And the signature is returning Invalid. Any idea why this would be a problem?

"Signature is INVALID - The document has not been modified since the signature was applied - the signer's identity is invalid"  when you inspect the signatures properties it says:

Validity summary :

....

The signer's identity is invalid

Signing time is from the clock of the signer's computer.

signature was validated as of signing time "12/07/2016 16:21:01 - 06'00'

Signer Info

There were errors building the patch from the signer's certificate to an issuer certificate.

Revocation checking was not perfomed.

When you look at the Certificate the path goes to

Entrust.net Certification Authority (2048)

    - Entrust Certification Authority - L1C

         - *.nsp.com

The root Entrust.net Certification Authority (2048) is the only one with a certificate policy of 2.16.840.1.114028.10.1.6 Description Document Signing Certificates.

Thank you for any help.

Encryption of Multiple PDF's

How do I encrypt multiple PDF's included in separate files folders? I have 3 file folders that contain multiple pdf's inside. Is there a way to encrypt each of the files with a password vs encrypting each of the pdf's included in the file folders? Otherwise, it seems it would take me a long time to click each and every pdf and assign the same password to each. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

How to have Certificate-based Signature on a PDF/A

I am needing long-term retention (50-years or more) of my digital documents and for legal purposes, I also need to apply a validation to the document indicating that I certify this as an official digital document of the agency I work for.  I am able to apply Certificate-based Signature to PDFs that I created from the Microsoft Certificate Store.  However, when I try to save to PDF/A, I am unable to meet the standard, and I get the error message - Signature Reference Dictionary has Digest Location entry and Permissions Dictionary had DOCMDP entry.  I don't understand the technical language.

I am wondering if a Certificate-based Signature is simply incompatible with a PDF/A.  I have searched the Adobe help references but have not been able to resolve the issue.  Can anyone suggest what I might do differently.

Passwords that were never set..!

Help! I have just attempted to open an Adobe file on my PC and it is asking for a password. These are documents I have had for years (in some cases) and I have never added a password to any of them. Since updating adobe it appears these Adobe documents are asking for something they never had and I have certainly never given them. I cannot produce a password I never created.

New to security - want readers to 'accept' terms and conditions

My experience with Adobe / PDF's is limited.  Read, do some light editing, build some rudimentary forms for internal use.

I distribute my company's financials to our clients annually.  Currently, I have them sign an NDA each year and mail a hard copy of the reports to them.  I'd like to find a way to streamline the process a bit.

I realize that there is no sure fire way to restrict access to this information.  If it is a hardcopy, they can scan and email it to unauthorized users.  If there is some sort of T&C in front of it, they can still send that file to someone else if they don't take agreements seriously.  So bottom line, I know I'm accepting risk with any method of distribution.

I would like to have the reader agree to some T&C / NDA terms before viewing the document.  I can't figure out a way to do that prior to the reader actually viewing the document.

Is there a not-so-obvious menu option or function that I can play around with on this, or perhaps a reliable and cost-effective third party solution?

Hello together,

my Pdf has different access rights, when opend in Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat and I want to fix this.

Adobe Reader shows:

Security Method: No Security

Document Assembly: Not allowed

Page Extraction: Not allowed

everything else: Allowed

Adobe Acrobat shows:

Security Method: No Security

Every option: Allowed

I would like to save/modify the file in a way that the pdf file is completely unlocked afterwards.

I already tried around with enabling protection, saving, disabling protection, but the page extraction flag was not changed in Acrobat Reader.

Adobe is bouncing emails that are being sent with forms to be digitally sign

Aaron Potter has been using SignatureFlo for several years.   Recently the firm she works with merged with another.  Her new email address is aaron.potter@kcoe.com.  She can log in to signatureflow and when she adds a document to sign, she can add the signature fields and submit.  no errors.  She gets a message that the document  has been sent.  Then she gets another email saying she the address she sent the document is invalid.  We have tried several addresses and same results.  We have had others send a document to the same address and they go through.  her previous email address was apotter@matsonisom.com or apotter@matson-isom.com.  These are both listed as alias with the new firm.  I have deleted her old account with this email address and she is using her new address to send and receive emails. and successfully with the exception of Adobe.

below is the bounced email.  I have worked with Cpaperless and they have worked with EchoSign and we still have an issue.

Blurry images when using sign and fill, Only Acrobat DC has this issue

I have an issue with one of my supported designers, he is using Acrobat pro DC to sign large formatted documents.  Other users with acrobat XI & X pro don't have any issues with resolution this happens with all PDF's he opens but the larger the worse it is typical size is 120x36in.  I should add that if he is just viewing the document it's fine it only blurs when print and sign tool opens.

any ideas besides downgrading him to XI SnipImage.JPG

How do I delete a digital signature field?

$

I have Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 on Snow Leopard. I created a digital signature for a PDF file but it didn't look good, so I decided to delete it. I figured out how to delete the signature, but the signature field with the little red arrow did not delete with my signature. I want my PDF form to revert to the way it was before I created the signature. I cannot simply close the PDF without saving because I'd lose all the information I've already entered. Stupid me forgot to save before attempting the digital signature.

HOW CAN I DELETE the digital signature field? Help!

Adobe's validation of a PAdES LTV and validation time

$

When Adobe validates a LTV signature:

* when validating the signer's certifecate, it's validated on the timestamp date. Ok

* but when validating the document timestamp's certificate, it's validated on its own timestamp date !!??

What does it mean?

If I change the date of my system to a date when the timestamp certificate is expired, Adobe says all the LTV signature is OK. !!??

Since the timestamp's certificate was valid when the timestamp was created, then this means that Adobe will consider this LTV eternally valid?

Instead of requiring another document timestamp before previous timestamp expiration.

According to PAdES LTV standard (ETSI TS 102 778-4 V1.1.2):

    4.3 Validation Process

It is recommended that that validation process be as follows:

    1) The "latest" document Time-stamp should be validated at current time with validation data collected at the current time.

    2) The "inner" document Time-stamp should be validated at previous document Time-stamp time with the validation data present (and time-stamped for the successive     enveloping time-stamps) in the previous DSS.

    3) The signature and the signature Time-stamp should be validated at the latest innermost LTV document Time-stamp time using the validation data stored in the DSS and     time-stamped (by the successive enveloping time-stamps)

Why is Adobe validating the latest document timestamp using its own timestamp date instead of validating it using the current time?

I've detected it in Acrobat Reader DC.

Thanks a lot in advance,

Enric

I have Adobe Acrobat Pro version 10.1.16 for Mac. Suddenly, I can no longer digitally sign documents. What can I do?

I have Adobe Acrobat Pro X for Mac, version 10.1.`6.  Suddenly I can no longer digitally sign documents, which I use regularly.  What can I do?

Why can I sign a document on my computer but not my phone?

I work with a local clinic and we want to be able to send out a form so that a patient can electronically sign it instead of waiting for it to be sent in the mail. I can receive the document on my phone and computer but I can only sign it on my computer. I literally just reinstalled the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader onto my computer (Windows 10 Home) and HTC One M8 Android phone so I know it's not out of date. I can sign other documents on my phone. Would there be a reason why the same document won't let me sign on the phone but just my computer?

Additionally as a side note, slightly unrelated, are there any versions/types of Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Acrobat Reader that don't allow someone to electronically sign?

Thank you so very much in advance!!

I used to be able to simply sign digitally by going to "fill and sign", "place signature", then drag new signature box, then it would ask for a password, then it would ask me to save the file and then I would have a signed, locked document. My hard drive

I used to be able to simply sign digitally by going to "fill and sign", "place signature", then drag new signature box, then it would ask for a password, then it would ask me to save the file and then I would have a signed, locked document.  My hard drive was replaced and I am trying to recreate that capability.  How do I do that?

Must use digital signature instead of less secure method?

I combined a word doc and a fillable PDF form that required a digital signature. I circumnavigated the "turn them into a portfolio" option and combined them as one single PDF. I needed to sign in two places. However, the only signing option I had was the digital signature as opposed to the "less secure" click on the ink pen icon and affix a signature method.  I wanted to use the "less secure method." Anyone know why Adobe DC would not allow me to do so?
