I received a signed PDF document requiring two authorizing signatures which does not allow modification (checked in File:Preferences). I created a self signed digital ID with Acrobat DC and set the signature as the default. When the document is opened in Sign & Fill the only option available is to validate the existing digital signature. All other signing options are grayed out. I have tried saving a copy of the file using File:Save As, but I could not see any option with that method control further modification. How does one add another digital signature to the file?

Need signature by another person on a digital signed PDF
Hello,
I am in Australia and I need a signature on a form from someone in Canada.
I have time restrictions so I have asked the person to sign electronically but for some reason they are unable to.
The PDF that I sent includes notes I have added plus my own digital signature.
Could the issue be that I have already signed the document and so my colleague in Canada is not able to add her signature after I have already added my own?
I tried the 'send or collect signatures' tab but the document is too large so I was not able to use this function.
Would it be best if I send the document WITHOUT my signature added? Would that make any difference?
My colleague has scanned in her signature and saved it as both a PDF and a JPG but for some reason is not able to add the scanned image as her digital signature.
Anyone have a suggestion please?!

Open documents not showing if secure
In the past on my Adobe Acrobat 10 it used to show at the top of the screen next to the file name if it was a SECURE document. It is not showing that anymore and I can only work out if I try to delete a page or modify the document. Is there some way to turn this back on so I can see if they are secure and also so I can check if they are secure before I upload them.

Fill & Sign does not load the file and displays blank screen

The functionality "Fill & Sign" stopped working, when I choose "Fill & Sign" tool the PDF file is not loaded and I see the blank page. Please advice how to fix it. I fully reinstalled the Acrobat but it did not fix the problem.

Getting enabled extended features error when tring to sign a doc
Users reporting this error;
"This document enabled extended features in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. The document has been changed since it was created and use of extended features is no longer available. Please contact the author of the original version of this document."
...when trying to sign a document... Note that it is not happening to everyone.
The "original" document is stored in Laserfiche depository and cannot be modified. So the users are saving a copy to their computer to fill & sign, before sending to supervisor for next signature. Would this error happen if the user has a local copy pre-filled out and saved to their computer that they are using as a personal template?

"Lock document after signing" option is missing

I need a signature field on a PDF form I am developing to have the Lock Document After signing functionality. My coworker (who has since left the firm) designed a similar form that automatically checks this box in the Sign Document pop-up window. This is exactly what I want, but I can't figure out how to do it. I am using Adobe Acrobat X Pro (10.1.13).

Parameters for redaction
OK, going to be as specific as I can. This regards Acrobat XI Pro
I have a group of documents on a mapped drive (on a server) that I want to combine and redact portions of.
I use Windows Explorer, go to the drive, select the files I want to use (all PDFs) then right clic and select "Combine PDFs".
It does that, and I have a document called 'portfolio.pdf'. Problem is, my redaction tools are gone, as is the top-right drop-down that used to allow me to select the tools to use.
IF, however, I open the files one at a time, I can redact to my heart's content. But that's a lot of work: I'd have to save the redacted doc as something else to retain the original, then combine again.
Is there some kind of stricture that I don't know about that keeps me from being able to do this? Permissions on individual docs I have to look at?
I'm using Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, BTW, and fully patched Acrobat XI Pro.

I want to affix my digital signature certificate on multiple PDF documents at one time. Is it possible using acrobat pro DC?

certificate chain recognised but not trusted
I'm trying to use an existing personal certificate to sign .pdf documents. With help from a highly knowledgeable colleague, I've got as far as adding a certificate chain … but Acrobat is still not happy.
The details tab for the certificate highlights problems with two areas:
basic constraints CA: Yes Path Length Constraint: None
key usage Sign CRL Sign certificate (CA)
The trust tab for the certificate says nothing is allowed, and won't let me add the certificate to Trusted Identities.
How can I sort this out?

Do you have to have both Adobe Sign and Adobe Acrobat Pro DC to send for signatures?
Do you have to have Adobe Sign in order to send a document out for a signature? I have Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and in the product details it says I can do that function, but I keep getting an "Upgrade" error.

Password protect changes but NOT open?
Forever I have been using the Properties>Security option to password protect CHANGING a document - allowing printing but disabling copy of text. I do NOT select password to open. But now sometimes in DC after I set the security as above it still asks people for password when opened. Although hitting cancel allows you in anyway. Weird. Its almost like when opening these problem PDFs it detects an instant change of some sort and asks for permission. But then lets cancel be used anyway in the password field. Any thoughts?

Digital Signature Disappears from Locked Document
Hello,
For my company I sign a lot of contracts using an Adobe Acrobat digital signature and electronic ID. After I sign and lock the contracts I save them to my hard drive. I have noticed that a few contracts signed in the last year are missing my electronic signature. I checked both with contracts uploaded to Salesforce, and the same contracts that are still saved on my hard drive. The signature is missing! What is the reason for this? I did not delete the electronic signature profile or ID. Do the signatures expire? The contracts were signed in the last year and untouched since they were final.

Can I restrict Font extraction from a PDF?
I have seen a lot of font extraction tools for pdf files. So If I want to embed a font in a pdf file, can I restrict extracting it or can I add a legal notice for font inside the pdf file? Or is there a way to transfer font copyright notice to pdf while making the pdf?

Can an Acrobat serial number get highjacked by opening a PDF from another person?
I received a PDF from an unknown person that I had to open to complete an assignment. But Acrobat began acting very strangely when I opened it. I've had it 3 years and it's never behaved this way before. Once it was open, a minute or so later, an Adobe pop up requesting my serial number came up. I closed it. Then it did it again, I closed the document and the program. I then tried to go back into Acrobat and the program itself wouldn't open only the dialog box to input my serial number. I then had to go and search for my serial number to put in before I could open the program again.
Has this ever happened to anyone else? Mine has never done that before in three years. Seems quite odd to me that it just demanded my serial number before I could use it. Keep in mind I use it almost daily, if not daily with my work.
