After signing a grant award that I downloaded, my desktop Acrobat 9 suddenly has dozens of odd default signatures in the drop-down list. I searched for *.pfx and *.p12 files, but found nothing, so this looks to be a list/history issue -- but I can't find the file location. How can I delete these signature names?

Adobe Reader DC - Windows Cryptographic Service Provider Error #2148532255
Hello,
I have a user who cannot digitally sign PDFs.
We use DoD Common Access Cards.
1) The user clicks on the signature field.
2) Selects a Digital ID.
3) Clicks "Sign".
4) Selects a file name and location to save the pdf.
5) Enters his PIN.
This is where we see the error message:
Windows Cryptographic Service Provider - Unknown smart card error 2148532255.
This issue appears to be computer-specific, as the user has been able to sign pdfs on other computers.
If anyone has tackled this issue before, I'd appreciate the help.
Thanks,
Bryan
How to create multiple digital sigs in AA X
Am I limited to only two digital signatures in Acrobat X? Every time I add a new digital signature it removes one of my previous digital signatures from the list. Is there a way to have three digital signatures?
Clicking the Sign button does not do anything
I'm not sure what happened. I had a pdf with a user signature field and I used to be able to add my digital signature into it. Today, I received a prompt in Adobe Reader and I don't recall what it was, but it seemed to have changed something. Now, I am unable to add my digital signatures. When I click on the signature field, I am able to select my Digital ID in the "Sign with a Digital ID" window, hit "Continue", but when I hit "Sign", nothing happens. How can I fix this? I've already reinstalled Adobe Reader but my problem still remains.
Thank you for any guidance.
I'm trying to add multiple signatures to my profile, is that possible?
We have Acrobat pro and are trying to add multiple signatures to someone's profile so that he can just select whichever signature he needs to use for a document. I see that you can have one signature and one initials. Is there a way to add more than just that?
Missing printed name and date when signing docs
I need help. Previously, when I signed a document, it added my printed name and the date right below the image of my signature and when I saved the document, it added "_encrpyted" to the name of the doc. Now, it does neither. I have tried to do some research. Perhaps that is a digital signature? Not certain on how to set that up or whether I need to add something to my subscription. I have adobe acrobat DC. I think I used to have an adobe sign account as well but was told it was part of the adobe acrobat DC package and I did not need to pay for it separately. Help! I need to use encrypted signatures for my client contracts. Thanks!!!!
Error while signing pdf with multiple signature locations
When trying to sign multiple documents in side Adobe 11.0.17. On the paperclip items I sign the documents, then when I sign the master document that locks the entire file I receive the following error:
- Error encountered while signing:
The Windows Cryptopgraphic Service Provider reported an error: One or more of the supplied parameters could not be properly interpreted. Error Code: 2148532228
Has anyone experienced this, as I can not find this error code anywhere.
Timestamp using a server that requires client Certificate authentication.
Is anyone having trouble consuming timestamps from a TSA Server that requires client authentication using Certificates?
From my experience, Adobe Reader DC always fails on the first attempt after being freshly opened. If i try to timestamp after the first failure, it works perfectly.
Using Wireshark, i took a look at the packets exchanged in a first attempt:
- I can see the handshake between Reader and the Server occurring without issues
- Reader sends the TSA Request and an immediately shuts down the connection.
- The request is still processed on the server and tries to reply but the connection is already lost.
This behavior seem to shift between Win10 versions.
Any ideias?
Thanks in advance,
J.Gaspar

Prompting private key each time when document gets signed
I have MS certificate authority configured to use digital certificates with a private key. So whenever a person signs a pdf document, it prompts for the private key of the certificate when the user is signing the document in the first place. But for subsequent signatures in another documents which are opened in subsequent tabs, signature is getting applied without private key since the it is asked in the first place. To prompt the private key again users should close the Adobe reader and reopen it. Is there anyway, it prompts for the password every time when somebody signs the document even though it asked the password in the first place without closing the reader(any registry settings). This is because of regulatory requirement.

Is there a way to place a box that a person can sign using a touchscreen?
I know about adding a place for a digital signature, but we all have touchscreen computers and would like to have the ability to have a person sign forms on our screen using a stylus. We have Adobe Acrobat DC, so we were wondering if we could create a file with a box that would allow that to be possible.
Read Only
I have been using Acrobat Pro DC for some time and was able to open a PDF from OneNote, Edit and then save back to OneNote. Now I get the following message "The document could not be saved. The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder."
Any ideas?

Signature invalid problem
I have a big issue that invalidates my signature in pdf files.
I'm using a token certificate to sign the documents.
After saving and signing the document it gives me the message "Signed and all signatures are valid" - photo 1 (sorry for the low quality) :
The issue is that after i close and reopen the same document it invalidates my signature - photo 2 :
The error message is: " There have been changes made to this document that invalidate the signature"
I have the same issue with all type of documents that i use.
The issue started to happen recently, few days ago.
Also it gives me the same error for documents i've signed months ago, and no issues back than.
Please help, my work is useless without valid signature.
Adobe Acrobat does not support Chinese SM2 Digital Signature Algorithm
Will it be updated in the future to support SM2?
Acrobat Pro DC smart card signature no certificates available.
When signing a PDF file in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (version 19.008.20071 but have tested back to 15.) it will show the user's Digital ID but when you click "Sign" it brings up the Windows Security window to select a certificate, but never reads the smart card. Acrobat can read it because I can view the certificate details before clicking on Sign.
So far this ONLY happens on Windows 10 version 1709 on our VMware View environment.
I have already upgraded my middleware (90Meter) to the most recent version. Every other program (windows, word, etc) can read my card just fine, I can even sign a document in Microsoft Word, but not in Acrobat Pro DC.
Ideas?
Getting an error message "document got corrupted" after PDF file gets signed successfully !, Getting an error message "document got corrupted" after PDF file gets signed successfully !
We have created a third party adobe signature plugin to sign the document and i am using Adobe PDF Default method to verify the signature.
The PDF signature box has been getting signed. Later, If we tap on the signature box, the reader displays with an error message "Invalid Cert and Document got corrupted"
Here is the problem that I am facing.
In the Plugin we are PubSec and have 3 call-backs that we are using,
- PSSigGetSigProperitesProc: Initiating the Signing process and adding the certificate chain
- PSSigAuthenticateProc: This is where we are initiating the 2-Factor Auth dialog and making the API call. The issue that we are facing is at this point we want to have the digest (SHA256) of the document that we want to send with the API. Which we are not able to get that is relevant from the Signature Digest calculation. In the PSSigGetSigValueProc we have the PSSigGetSigValueParams structure that contains the PSDataBuffer object that lets me calculate the digest but I want something similar in Authenticate call as we want to cancel the signing process if the 2-factor in invalid.
I am able to achieve it successfully by calculating the Digest of the PDDataBuffer in PSSigGetSigValueProc callback. But i need to calculate the digest in PSSigAuthenticateProc callback as per my business logic.
Is there something to achieve the correct SHA256 Digest of the PDDataBuffer in the PSSigAuthenticateProc callback to sign and validate the Signature?
Please let me know. I appreciate any help to resolve this issue.
