I have Acrobat XI Pro on my Microsoft Surface Pro, however, I'm unable to sign documents. What do I need to do to be able to sign PDF documents and forms?
How do I sign PDF documents and forms on a MS Surface Pro
Add a form field after a document is signed
Our process is to sign documents before their release to the rest of the company, but at the time of release I add a script which includes a form field that displays the date printed and a future expiry date. When I try to run this script after it's been signed, it adds the field but the words are not visible. I tried having the script run at the time of the last signature field being signed but I have the same issue. If I run it before it is signed it's fine even after everyone signs the document. I do not have it locking the document after signing and the signatures are valid.
Is there something I can do to the signature fields to allow me to add a form field at the end?
I'm using Acrobat X Pro.
How can I create a transparent watermark in Adobe X Standard
I use a transparent/layered watermark frequently on .pdf documents that needs to be placed in a variety of different forms/positions on the page (and cannot be a signature as items get added to the pdf after I am done with it), my old version of Creator on my old computer allowed me to use a .png file as the source, which I cannot do now... help.
Redaction Option has Disappeared
The option seems to have disappeared. I've checked Preferences and don't find anything there to assist me. Adobe X. Can anyone help me to get this back? I did reinstall the disc under "repair" mode but it did not correct the problem.
Thank you!

digital signed and PDF byte-serving
Is a PDF that has been created/enabled for 'fast web view' and then been subsequently digitally signed, still able to use byte-serving optimization or does the fact that the entire PDF needs to be available for sig validation preclude that type of fast web view optimization?

PDFs Requiring Password to Open When That Option is NOT Configured
TSPAM:
Problem: PDFs that were created WITHOUT a password required to open are asking for passwords before they will open.
Expected Result: PDFs should open without asking for an open password unless they were configured to require a password to open.
Analysis: PDFs were created via export from InDesign CS6 to PDF Version 1.7 (Adobre PDF Library 10.0.1). Document restrictions were defined as, Allowed: Printing, Content Copying for Accessibility, Commenting, Filling in Form Fields, Signing, Creation of Template Pages; other abilities Not Allowed. Restrictions use password security. Require a password to open is NOT set active.
Once posted online, several users report that the PDFs are requiring a password to open.
I can't duplicate that behavior--meaning that I'm never prompted for an open password--in Acrobat X or XI on Windows 7x64 or Mac OS 10.8x or in Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari on those systems.

Risks associated with digital signatures
We are looking to develop a process to use digital signatures on PDF documents, send them via email to a line manager, who adds his digital signature as a "stamp of approval" who then emails them to a specific department for processing. Are there any risks associated with using digital signatures in adobe, and general best practices for their usage, or best practices to mitigate the risks associated with them.
Multiple Signatures and Modifying Text
I use Adobe Acrobat Pro X on a Mac (10.6.8) and have created a form with two digital signatures. The form needs to be filled in by the employee at the top and digitally signed, then emailed to a supervisor for his/her signature. Is there a way to partially prohibit the text from changing in the upper portion (specific fields) above the employees signature after it's been signed by the employee but allow the supervisor to check a box and digitally sign the form too?
Once a PDF is digitally signed, how to I disable the "Clear signature" option? I cannot allow appli
I need to set up digital signatures for a number of documents, but once signed, the signatures must be permenant. Currently the owner has the option (right clicking on the signature), to "clear signature" - how do I disable this?
Thanks in advance!
Multiple Digital Signatures - each signer enters their comments then signs
Background / Problem: I currently have a Microsoft Word Document I print out (multiple pages). Everyone reads the first page, puts their comments in their section, then signs under their comments. The same group of papers (2-3 pages) gets signed by 7 people. After I chase everyone down to add their comments and sign the paper, I then file it into a massive file cabinet.
I am considering buying Adobe Acrobat very shortly (if this can solve the problem). I would like to convert the two or three page document I normally print out into a PDF file. I would like for someone to add a comment in their comment box, sign the document and save it. The next person will then add their comment sign it and save it. How do I do this and what version of Acrobat do I need (if acrobat can do this)?
Security
I have ran into an issue and need help. Once redactions, headers & footers are applied to a document and then reprinted to PDF, is there a way to keep from seeing the information that has been redacted? Some way to lock the document down?
We have ran into a situation where you copy the redaction and paste it into Word and you get both.... the redacted area and the data that was redacted just below.
Signature panel in portfolios?
Is there a signature panel in portfolios, so I can see all unsigned digital signature fields from all documents in the portfolio? The signature panel is a feature in Adobe Acrobat Pro and it's helpful to ensure (at a glance) that all requires signatures have been obtained.
How to view the certificate used in PDF protection ?
Hi,
I have a document in my company that is certificate-protected with no printing permission, and I need to know wich certificate was used to protect the document, so we can take action and contact with him.
It seems the document is protected with another "read-only" certificate wich allows me to open it, but I can´t find an option in Acrobat for getting this info.
Is there a way to do this?
How do I restrict a pdf from being emailed?
I am trying to password protect a pdf from everything except opening. That includes printing, emailing, saving, modifying, etc. It's pretty simple to restrict printing, but I do not see an option for email restrictions. Thanks!
how do I grey out both Save and Save as in a protected file?
I have a pdf that I have enabled security on. password to open, no Print/no edit/no copy paste etc. However users can still do 'Save as'.
Can I do something to prevent any form of 'Save' after the file has been opened?
Thanks
