Hi, I am trying to export security settings from Acrobat DC. It seems many settings are not exported.

For example:

In signature Validation settings:

I am able to export :

Verify signatures when the document is opened

Require certificate revocation checking to succeed whenever possible

Verification Time- Verify Signatures Using:

I am not able to export:

Verification Behavior, when verifying

when document has valid but untrusted signatures, prompt to review and trust signers

Verification Time- Use expired timestamps

Automatically add Verification Information when saving PDF

Fustermore I am not able to export the state of the Automatic European Union Approved Trusted Certificates Updates

and other settings in the Trust Manager

Thanks for your help.

Secure split PDF documents

I used inDesign to merge a large PDF comprised of around 700 unique pages. Each page contains personal information (name, address, and compensation information) for employees. I understand how to split the document into individual PDFs. I also understand how to encrypt the individual documents to require a unique password to open them.

My question: Is there a way to assign a unique password to each page, perhaps from a table or script before splitting? My objective would be to have 700 individual, secure PDFs, without having to manually go through and individually open each page and protect them, one by one.

Thanks!

Is it possible to capture a physical signature made with a non electronic stylus or your finger on a touchscreen laptop? Either to sign directly onto a PDF, or to be saved as an electronic signature?

Issues with pades-LTV verification with Adobe Reader

Hi,

First of all, I would like to wish you a very happy new year ! Wishing you all the best for 2017 !

I am contacting you because one of our customers has issues while verifying a PADES-LTV signature.

They use a EJBCA PKI with delta CRLS.

With our home-made signature/verification product, all is OK.

But while verifying with adobe reader, we get the following message (a lot of occurrences, but it’s still the same message) :

Erreur de traitement de la liste de révocation des certificats.      // Processing Error in the Certificate Revocation List

Emetteur: c=FR, o=CHU LYON, ou=0002 6690027300019, cn=HCL-Primaire-2016-Test    //Issuer

Cette mise à jour: 20161215092821Z // This update

La prochaine mise à jour: 20161222092821Z // Next update

Emetteur de liste de révocation de certificats incohérent.   // CRL issuer missmatch

It causes a warning in the signature panel.

However, the PADES-LTV signature is OK, and the certification chains are imported in adobe. (I’ve never got that message before).

I parsed the pdf document (while reading the ETSI draft about LTV implementation), and there is no problem. The CRL in the signature is OK, the certificates too. No incoherence detected.

The only difference with other projects is in the usage of deltaCRL with the PKI (referenced in the CRL in the signature eg).

My question is : How does Adobe verify ? Do you have any clue to resolve this issue, please ?

Thank you a lot,

Best Regards,

  Antoine

AATL certificate not approved

I have this certificate:

2017-02-06 10_39_14-Certificaat weergeven.png

It is an AATL certificate so it should be accepted automatically...

But for some reasons on some PCs it does not do this:

2017-02-06 10_44_01-FITPC-RS2 - Remote Desktop Connection Manager v2.2.png

I'll translate: at least one signature is problematic

On that PC

I am using the most recent version of adobe

I tried updating the trusted AATL certificates manually

I tried updating the EUTL certificates manually.

But still the signature stays problematic.

Is there something wrong with the global sign root certificate??

Try to sign pdf document - administrator credentials pops up

Hi everyone

Maybe it is an easy question for you but I have tried now several hours to solve this problem but I do not get a solution.

Here some informations:

I am using an iMac with OS X 10.10.5 installed.

The Adobe Acrobat version is 10.1.16.

Ok here is the actual situation:

We have an employee which want to sign a pdf document. She can choose where to place the signature and also she can choose where to save the document afterwards. Then a username/password credentials pops up which is asking for administrator credentials.

It is not a problem the enter the administrator credentials for the employee but when I am not in the office, she can not sign any document.

On the credential window it says "OS X would like to do changes. Please enter name and password from a administrator" and also "OS X would like to us the keychain" (it is possible that in english it is not exactly word for word - I have translated from german).

I have checked the keychain and also has open the "System"-keychain, but no success.

So maybe someone of you had also this problem and has a solution for it? Or maybe someone other can help me here?

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to write an answer in this discussion.

I am already saying thank you to all people which can get me a step forward to a solution.

Applying a signature using a self-signed certificate requires reattaching to certificate file each time

$

Our office has been using Adobe Reader XI and some Adobe Reader DC installations for some time to digitally sign pdf documents.  Many times there are 2 or 3 of our employees that sign the same document.  Each user has a self-signed certificate saved in their own network folder and each user's installation of Reader is (was) set to remember the connection to that signature file.  They simply open the PDF, located the signature line, select to Place Signature, draw the box, type in their password and save the file.

In the last 3 weeks or so, this has stopped working and is requiring them to locate the certificate each time they want to sign a document.  In other words, they open the file, find the signature line, click to Place Signature and a window comes up asking for how to sign.  Then they have to select a signature file, browse to that file, type in the password, and click OK.  Then it will allow them to drag the signature area, type in their password AGAIN to apply the signature and save the file.

I've checked every setting I can think of to try to fix this and I cannot figure it out.  We've changed nothing, yet it suddenly quit working.  Anybody else had this problem or know what is going on and how to fix it?

Thanks in advance.

Distributed documents for signature do not return to me.

I need some help, as I have a very frustrating problem. I am trying to use the digital signature function within Adobe standard 9.4. I save my word document to a PDF. I enter form editing, add a new field <Digital Signature>, distribute form, send it automatically using Adobe, enter the recipients names and send. For some reason when all the recipients have signed the document digitally and hit the <submit> button all the recipients documents are returned to my colleague, regardless of the document or recipients they are always returned to this guys email. I have recently reinstalled Adobe standard 9.4 but the problem persists. Can any body assist in advising the possible reason and provide a solution. Regards

Not able to digitally sign in Acrobat DC.

I received a signed PDF document requiring two authorizing signatures which does not allow modification (checked in File:Preferences).  I created a self signed digital ID with Acrobat DC and set the signature as the default.  When the document is opened in Sign & Fill the only option available is to validate the existing digital signature.  All other signing options are grayed out.  I have tried saving a copy of the file using File:Save As, but I could not see any option with that method control further modification.  How does one add another digital signature to the file?

Issues signing/clearing valid signatures in DC?

$

Hoping someone can help me with this:

I made a fillable form using Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES Version 8.2, with text fields and two signature fields. Everything works fine in Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended, however, not everyone who needs to utilize this form has access to Adobe 9 Pro Extended; they are using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. Because this is a daily form, usually with the same or similar information, most of the employees have (for some time now) simply cleared their signatures and saved a new copy with a new signature each day, and unfortunately are not able to do that anymore.

Within Adobe DC, regardless of the validity of the signature, if the signer closes the file and re-opens the signed document he/she cannot clear his/her own signature. Does anyone have a work-around for this? I have tried adding the Digital ID to the Trusted Certificates list, and all that does is verify the signature; there is still no option to clear the signature. Obviously, for security reasons, not just anyone should be able to clear a signature, but the fact that the person who signed the document cannot clear it, from the same computer used to sign the document originally, seems outlandish to me.

Also, we have encountered an issue with the Supervisor not being able to sign after the employee has signed. There are no locking conflicts (I have confirmed this with both the base file and the employee); and it is only with this one employee. The employee is utilizing DC, the supervisor is utilizing Adobe 9. Please advise if you have any potential ways to mitigate this.

If anyone else has had these issues, please let me know how you are working with/around them! It's driving my team crazy.
