Sign a doc with a visible signature
Hello,
How do I sign a document in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC with a visible signature?
When I sign, the document becomes protected but the signature block is blank. I open the signature panel where it shows the document is signed, and valid, but with an invisible signature. I need the signature to be visible. How do I do this? I don't have the option to draw a signature box either.
Thank you!
~Sanjay
Is the Certificate function in Adobe a Adobe function or a external plugin and is it 21CFR21 part 11 compliant

combining secured documents
I work in an engineering firm. We place our engineer's stamps (seals) on pdf's of our drawings as adobe stamps. We then password protect our documents to protect them from being modified. This is required by the organization which regulates engineering in our area. We must secure and protect documents with our seals on them.
The problem we are having is that we often work with other consultants, such as architects. On these projects we have to send our sealed, and password protected, drawings to the other consultant. The other consultant then needs to bind, or combine, our pdf's into one larger pdf with all of the other drawings from the other consultants. The problems is this is impossible after we have secured (password protected) our documents. The only way around this would be to give the other consultant our passwords, which defeats the purpose of having the passwords.
Surely there is a way to address this. We need a way to be able to combine password protected documents without using the passwords. There is an option in the document security setting to allow inserting documents, but this only seems to mean that unsecured documents can be added to a secured document. For secured documents you have to have the password to be able to combine them.
Any suggestions?
I forgot my certificate password for my digital signature

Signing a Password Protected Document
I use applications generated by insurance companies which they secure with a password but they allow us and clients to sign electronically. The basic How To says to send for signature I need to "Prepare Form", complete fields, then send for signature. Adobe will not let me Prepare Form due to security settings. How do I sign if I cannot "Prepare Form" then send for signature?
Can't digitally sign in Acrobat Pro DC
Just purchased and installed Acrobat Pro DC. It lost my old digital ID in the process, found the instructions for DC when through the multitude of steps to create a new digital ID, register it, then set it up for use but now I can't use it because all of the options in the Usage Options dropdown are greyed out. There's nothing in the steps about this and I've gone through them 10 times.
How to save a pdf with security options enabled when saving while printing is not supported
I want to add security options (figure 2) to a pdf to prevent copying, saving and printing but Adobe wont allow me to save these options while printing (figure 3). The issue is that you can't get to the security options feature without opening the print dialogue box (figure 1) which you also can't close without closing the security options feature. Its a vicious cycle haha.

I am trying to password protect around 1000 pdf files and I can't find any useful article regarding this problem. I am using Adobe Acrobat XI. I tried it with Acrobat X and it worked, but when I try to create an action in Acrobat XI,it works only if I open each file individually. Is there any way I can apply this action to multiple files?

When using digital signatures that have already been created, adobe normally asks for our password before applying the signature. Recently, it has begun not asking for our password sometimes and will still place the signature. Can we fix this so that it always requires a password?

I can get to this point:
While there are two signatures already there from previous documents, I need to add a third. There is no 'Add Signature' option.
Does something need to happen for this to be enabled?

Certificate Specifications
Is there a document anywhere that specifies the requirements for certificates to be able to sign documents? I am able to create certificates through Adobe Acrobat Pro and those work, but I am trying to create a working template in my organization that can issue certificates from a single point so we can have trust across the organization.
I can set Application Policies (Extended Key Usage) and Key Usage settings within my certificates, but I still end up with problems validating the trust chain.
Currently I have the following Certificate Settings:
- EKU: Code Signing
- KU: Digital Signature
When I look at a signature signed by this cert, I get this:
Looking at the certificate chain, the Root seems to have a problem with Basic Constraints, but I can't understand what the specific reason is. The only indicators are the Yellow Warning and the red Exclamation mark:
Can someone help me out?
