Validating Signatures on Another PC

I am trying to establish a process at work to have management digital sign their documents.  This all works fine.  When I open the PDF on another computer, it shows the signature it not verified.  Thus, I am trying understand the process of how the Digital ID is exported and imported onto the verifying PC.  If I import the pfx file, that is not ideal, as I have to share the password with the person to import it and they can now sign as me.  Thus, I simply want a process they can import "something" from me that validates the password on their end without allowing them to sign as me.  I went through this link.

Digital IDs in Acrobat

Step 8 says...

The ID is created. You can export and send your certificate file to contacts who can use it to validate your signature.

When I export it, it creates a FDF file or CER file.  I do not know if these are the right files to share with the other user or what steps I am missing.

Any help is truly appreciated.

Digital IDs Disappear

I am having the same problem discussed in this closed thread:

https://answers.acrobatusers.com/Have-to-browse-for-digital-ID-every-time-Acrobat-XI-Stand ard-is-closed-to-digitally-sign-document-q112087.aspx

I navigated to the registry key mentioned in the reply (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\7.0\Security\cPPKHandler\cDigitalIDFiles) and there were no digital IDs there.

Then I exported the same key from the registry of an older computer where the Digital IDs were working and imported it into the problematic computer. The subkeys all appeared in the registry, but I could only view their contents when Acrobat was open. When Acrobat was closed I received an error message when trying to view the contents of the subkeys. And as soon as I closed Acrobat all the subkeys disappeared from the registry.

From a brief internet search it is clear that many others are experiencing this same problem. Has anyone figured out a fix?

Can I disable Adobe Sign's automated email so that I can send my own instead?

Hi there Adobe community!

I want to be able to disable the automated email that goes out when using Adobe Sign so that I can include a more personalize message with a larger character count and links / attachments to relevant associated documents. The character count in the message portion just doesn't suit my needs so manually sending this email out is more appealing to my use case.

Can any one help?

Can changes be made and initialed and dated after a signature has been applied?

In my line of work our documents require a signature at the time of completion, but edits may be warranted as time goes one. Typically these ongoing edits are initialed and dated when made, preserving the original signature. I see that a digitally signed document can have the signature cleared and reapplied after changes have been made, but removing the original signature to make edits is not acceptable in our work. Also, I see that once a document is digitally signed but not "locked" further edits to the fillable form after signing are detailed in the signature panel but I don't see these changes able to be attributed to any author.

Can changes be made and initialed and dated after a signature has been applied?

Thanks in advance.

insert in pdf documents electronic signatures with own certificates

Hello everyone,

how can I insert pdf documents electronic signatures so that all members of the team (about 22) have permission to sign, as well as the document should only be accessible to them?

Is that possible with the existing signatures / certificates in our companies  PCs?

In general there is a possibility among us (Team) pdf to mail and to sign ... so that it is also sure that this was sent from the respective PC.

Have Acrobat Pro DC installed / available.

As you can see, I do not know much about PDF ... to put it mildly ... but my thirst for knowledge is great

Thanks in advance for any answer ... which may be understandable, for a beginner like me

1. How to add an LTV enabled signature and how to make sure the signature can be LTV?

2. If a timestamp is required when I add the LTV enabled signature?

3. Is it true that if a signature is LTV enabled, it can still validate even after 50 years? What else do I need to do during the 50 years?

Hello,

I'm wondering what the minimum security needed is to combine PDF documents together. I have enabled everything other than page extraction, i am not sure how to enable this, and still cannot combine pdfs.

What Document Restrictions are needed to be allowed in order to combine PDFs?

Thanks

Mouse pad signing

I have created a fillable form, now I want to sign it using a mouse pad. How can I do that?

I need to certify a document and then have it notarized.

I can do this on a small file size document (100kb), but Adobe Acrobat DC is having problems on a large file size (3000-4000kb).

The method I used (hope there is a better method) is:

Click the "Prepare Document" tool

Click Add digital signature

Close the signature dialog

Click the Certificates tool

Digitally sign (with a digital ID)

The document can then be signed in the signature field.

When I do this with a large document (3000-4000kb) it has problems

The Prepare Document tool  takes several minutes to run. Then it gives me this error:

Adobe Acrobat was unable to make this document accessible because of the following error

Knowledge source failed <Gather OCR Data> 1

Please note that some pages of this document may have been changed.

Because of this failure, you are advised not to save these changes.

The document (a single page map) was created using Autocad.

I tried removing my legend from the map.

This reduced the file size (1819kb) and the signatures worked.

I then added one line of the legend back into the map.

this increased the file size to 3799kb and did not work.

( I don't understand why the file size increased that much from adding a line of text).

Is there another way to do this?

Please help.
