How do I get rid of the "Standard Text" option on the Appearance drop down menu?
I just want to have 1 (one, uno, ein) signature in the drop down menu.
I have searched thousands of entries and still I'm unable to ELIMINATE the standard text that seems to come back every time I open the program!!!!!
Help me , please.......
I am a doctoral student trying to format my dissertation proposal to accept a digital signature. I have managed to set it up, instead, so the document cannot be edited. Does anyone know how to unlock the editing capability for Acrobat Adobe?
We are using an external signature pad (Signature Gem) to have patients sign documents that exist in their electronic chart. Once the signature pad has been used, the chart becomes locked. We are no longer able to add, edit or delete any item from the chart. We are using Acrobat Standard XI. How do I change this setting so that we can utilize the external signature pad and continue to modify the chart? Thanks!
I use Acrobat XI Pro. When I click the "Sign" Button I do not get the I Need to Sign, Fill & Sign, Place Signature Menu Options like I do using another computer in Acrobat Reader XI. Why? Or, alternatively how do I activate those convenient options in Pro? When I click on the "Sign" Button in Pro, I get "Sign With Certificate" Options...but nothing that would allow me to simply place graphic signature file like in Reader.

I added a watermark to a pdf file with vba using the addwatermarkfromtext() command and saved the file. After opening the file and trying to remove the watermark, Acrobat says it can't find a watermark to remove. Any reason why?

We produce a number of PDFs with content security settings (password-protected). These settings allow commenting using Acrobat's Annotation and Markup tools. However, the mobile versions of Acrobat do not honor this allowance—attempting to bring up the Comment tool in iOS or Android versions of Acrobat results in a message: "Restricted Document | This tool is not accessible due to the document's security settings." No problem on Windows, Mac software. Is there any way to resolve this?
If you open a document with Adobe Acrobat X Pro and sign it, than the Software wants to save the document on the same place, like you opened it. In Adobe Acrobat XI Pro the software wants to save it on an other place.
Do anybody know this issue and is it possible to solve it?

I installed latest flash player update of IE (KB3049508). From the Adobe Security Bulletin, it should be version 17.0.0.169. However, when I run check version from Flash Player 帮助 | Flash Player 帮助 in IE, the version shows 17.0.0 instead of 17.0.0.169. Does it mean I didn't install the update correctly? Could you kindly advice it please? My OS is Windows8 and IE10.Thank you!
Please show how to disable page extraction. I password protected the file not allow printing, and encrypt all document contents; however, the file still allow page extraction. Please advise how to secure my file with Page Extraction DISABLED.

How do I sign?
Signatures at multiple positions in the PDF. This is mainly a Verification & Validation document,
where signatures will be applied for each Test case present in the document(4 to 5 signatures in a single page).
We have observed that applying a signature for one place involves lots of steps and saving of file each time.
This leads to lot of effort when we have to perform 500+ signatures for a single document.
So do we have any mechanism to get the pre-stored signature with a single button?

We are using Acrobat 11(Adobe Reader 11)
Steps that we are using for getting a signature are:-
Precondition:(Steps involved in creating Signature)
Steps involved in placing the signature:(It will be performed each time a signature is placed)
Click on Place the Signature button
Identify the location for the signature
Enter the password
Click on OK
Save the file

How do I eliminate one of the signatures in Adobe Acrobat XI.
I am using Acrobat X Pro and want to add the signature field so that another inexperienced user can add their signature without having to drag a signature box.
I am trying to remove the security on a document but it asks me for my password. I have typed my login password several times carefully and it keeps telling me it is wrong. I even changed my password to be sure, but no luck.

Okay, this is NOT intuitive AT ALL. Just trying to add a darn signature to my PDF. And it says I need to "send for signature". When I "send for signature", the W9 that I downloaded from the IRS says that "you cannot edits this file as a form due to its security settings". As I have not touched the file at all when I do this, I should be able to turn off the security settings. But no. I cannot. Any ideas???????

Two of our end users use digital signatures (certificate-based) in Acrobat 9 Pro to sign documents attesting the accuracy & calibration status of lab equipment for use in a legal environment. These end users are concerned that their documents could be altered or edited, and asked me if password protection can also be applied to their documents that need to be digitally signed.
