At the moment some people in our organisation are setting up individual signatures using Adobe Acrobat X. I am enquiring whether there is a way to do it through a Windows 2008 server that connects to Active Directory and then I can control how the signatures works.
Is there someway that I can setup a digital signature server that works with Active Directiry rather than do individual ones on PCS
PKI encryption, required to open a PDF Document, company employees only?
As a Technical Trainer I create PDF Big books for my students. I need to find a way to keep company information within the company. All of our employees have PKI cards. The students do not need to sign PDF. I know how to add PKI encryption for myself. How can I easily do this for a group of employees?
I am using Adobe Send For Signature and when the document goes out there are no fields that I put on the document.
I set up documents in Adobe Send For Signature. They are under in my list of library templates. When I go to edit them all of the fields that I have put in the document show up. When I send the document only the document shows up without any of the fields I put in place (no sig block or data fields).
This also for the first participant. The second participant actually gets the document with the correct fields in it. I need to be able to fill out the form initially and I'm getting a document with no fields on it.
No Send for Signature option in right panel Acrobat DC
I just installed Acrobat DC and there is no Send for Signature option in right panel.
How do I get it there? Is there a Tool I need to add (E-Sign equivalent?) or?
what does this mean?

Certificate limitations for signing and certifying pdf files
What are the restrictions for certificates used to sign or certify pdf documents. I used to do this with no problem using my old certificate that had a key 4k in size. I recently upgraded to a 16k key size. When I sign with that key, I keep getting errors that the document certification is invalid and that the document has been altered or corrupted since it was certified. Since the document was certified just about 2 seconds earlier I have no idea how it could have been altered so it must have been corrupted by my 16k key. Is there a restriction on key size for adobe.
I am using adobe acrobat 8 since I do not see the need to purchase a newer version as that does all that I need.
E-Signatures and Government .pdf files
As Secretary for a volunteer group I have to send a government form to various people for e-sigs but they dont have Adobe. is this just an oversight by the government or is there a way round it? As Secretary of this group i have permission to have access i have to their email in case anyone sick or on holiday, could I send the form to their emails, log in and sign them and send them back to myself or does Adobe take account of the DNS being the same? Also do you send the pdf out to everyone at the same time or one at a time so it is signed in sequence? Many Thanks.
Adobe Reader X doesn't even try to validate expired user certificate used in digital signature
Verifying a file signed with an expired certificate (timestamped or not) causes Adobe Reader to raise strange CRL parsing error:
Note:
- the CRL is currently valid
- the errors "propagates" also on the OCSP responses
- the file is timestamped before the certificate revocation.
- the error is reproducible everytime and with different signature/CAs: personally I've tried with Frenc, Italian and Spanish signed evidences.

Sign With Certificate Not Working: "Creation of this signature could not be completed. Access Denied"
I have a PC with Windows 8.1. I own Acrobat Pro 11.0. I've spent hours of my time researching and troubleshooting to get my "Sign with Certificate" tool to work. After I create the signature box, a message appears saying "Creation of this signature could not be completed. Access denied." Following that it gives me a file path into "Acrobat\11.0\Security\addressbook.acrodata" . When I get into the Security folder, I do not see "addressbook.acrodata". The files I see are 1) aaa09592, 2) Annss.dat, 3) Annssi.dat, 4) Annssk.dat, 5) directories.acrodata, 6) a file with my name which has what appears to be a red key in the icon, 7) services_pro.dat, 8) services_proi.dat and 8) services_prok.dat. As I said, the file "addressbook.acrodata" . If that's the problem, how do I solve it? If it's not the problem, what do I need to do to fix this situation? Please provide me with a solution to my issue ASAP.
How do I get Acrobat DC send for signature to ask for sender's details?
So I tried to use Acrobat DC for the first time the other day to manage the signature of an agreement - a process which we've historically completed using the echosign web interface (including defining form fields, etc)
Despite setting up the fields as "required" and with the participant role "sender", at no point was I asked for them to be filled during the sending process (which at the time, was not unexpected, given we tend to use "they sign, then I sign" on echosign). However, when the customer signed the agreement, it was not sent back to me for signature, but was simply filed as "signed".
I have looked in other conversations in here relating to signature fields and see talk about supposedly being able to sign inside acrobat itself prior to sending (I don't want to do this, as we sign last!), but when I tried it, my signature field is simply treated as a text field by Acrobat.
Is the only way to handle sender signatures properly to continue using echosign web interface to send the documents?
TIA
Phil
Security Error on Password Secured Documents showing Signed or Certified, when there is none
I had to uninstall DC and go back to XI because Livecycle forms that were Password Secured and Extended confuse DC and were showing a Certified or Signed status where there was none. This made it impossible to use my password to un-secure the documents and edit them. I know, because I made and Password Secured the Documents myself.
What do i need to do to get Digital siganatures (verisign or other) to work with my Adobe?
This is for a bank. We are looking into allowing and making digital signatures via Adobe. Users have either Adobe Reader XI, Standard XI, or Professional XI depending on their needs.
Thank You

PROBLEMS PLACING AN ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE
Hi All,
I have created a number of forms in Acrobat XI which have multiple signature boxes in each. The forms are working great and need to be able to be used manually eg printed and completed or electronically, which they do. I would like those completing electronically to be able to sign the form either electronically using the place signature function, digitally using a digital signature or to be able to print once completed and sign with a "wet" signature.
The forms are working well when I test in Reader to allow an digital or a Wet signature and the electronic signature works, using place signature, however, the issue I am having is that the signer cannot place the electronic signature in the section marked signature - be case it disappears. They can however place the electronic signature beside the signature field then drag it onto the field where it shows and prints as it should. I have tried this as form, converted to an electronic form, with the fields as signature fields, text fields etc. I have made the fields multiline, single line, allowed and disallowed rich text formatting but to no avail.
These forms will be going out to thousands of users with different levels of competence on a computer and I want to make them as intuitive as possible, naturally they will want to place the signatures where it says please sign here..... but they cant on first pass and I have no way to guide them in this.
Anyone with any ideas to resolve - your assistance would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Ains
Signature placeholder
I would like to programmatically create a pdf wit an empty signature field at the bottom which would be signed at a later point. A user would open the pdf in a program that recognizes this type of signature field, so that when you sign it knows where to put it. Now my question is if someone can explain to me about this type of field, I am interested in the box that is a placeholder for the signature(https://answers.acrobatusers.com/Where-can-I-get-a-sample-pdf-to-test-digital-signature-q4 1611.aspx). What is the field name? Should it be in a form? Is this adobe specific? What is the "rights enabled" thing that he is talking about? Are you even able to do this programmatically? Thanks in addvance.
What is the meaning of 'content copying for accessibility' in Adobe Acrobat X? How to disallow it?
Hi,
In the 'Documents Restrictions Summary' screen of the document security option in Adobe Acrobat X, there is an option called 'content copying for accessibility', I would like to know what does it mean? Can I set it to be disallowed?
Thanks for helping!

Editing signature in Acrobat Pro 9
In Acrobat Pro 9, is it possible to edit the appearance of your signature so that only the date of signing appears with including the local time and time zone? Also, is it possible to make the date text smaller in relationship to the imported signature image? If so, how?
